Salis privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026. Salis is made by Experto.

Data stays on the device

Tasks, projects, decisions, notes, and settings are stored on your device with SwiftData. There is no account, and Experto does not upload that data. Widgets and the watch read an App Group on the same device. The watch syncs with your phone over WatchConnectivity, not through our servers.

Calendar

If you grant full calendar access, Salis reads events to show your day and to flag a clash with a task, and it can add a task to a calendar you pick. You can decline and keep using the app.

Speech and microphone

Quick capture uses on-device or system speech recognition (ar-SA) and the microphone only while you hold the button, to turn a sentence into a task. Salis does not keep an audio recording.

Location

Location is when-in-use only, to calculate Umm al-Qura prayer times on the device. Coordinates are not sent to a server. If you decline, you pick Riyadh, Jeddah, or Dammam and the app uses that city center. The times are a planning aid, not a mosque timetable.

Notifications

Reminders are local, at the task time, and may move earlier when the time is close to a prayer. There are no marketing notifications.
